Amerisafe Group is Hiring a Rescue Technician Near Cleveland, OH
Amerisafe Group’s Technical Rescue Team provides specialized job site safety services nationwide. To be in OSHA compliance, employers are required to provide standby Rescue Services to remove a worker from danger if they become trapped or injured in a Confined Space. In addition to Confined Space Rescue, Amerisafe Group offers site-specific Technical Rescue disciplines including:
- Vertical/ High-Angle / Low-Angle Rope Rescue
- Tunnel Rescue
- Trench Rescue
Our Rescue Technicians are all specifically trained in technical rescue (meeting both OSHA 1910.146 and NFPA 1670 requirements) and emergency response medical services (EMT and/or Paramedic certification).
During confined space rescue service operations, Amerisafe’ s personnel help manage standby rescue activities by actively coordinating entry personnel, focusing on OSHA 1910.146 and the New 1926 Subpart AA.
Job duties:
- Assistance in assessing potential hazard
- Completion of rescue preplans specific to the customer site and/or job
- Completion of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) documentation
- Identification of site-specific rescue anchor points and development of site-specific hauling/lowering plan
- Atmospheric testing and monitoring, along with ventilation
- Continuous monitoring of job/site conditions
- Assessment during an accident includes: locating patient, assessing the patient for injuries, packaging patient for extrication, removing the patient from the threatening environment, rendering AED/First Aid/CPR according to our level of training, and delivering the patient to the rally point in order to turn the patient over to EMS for additional medical attention and transport
